Munch’s Scream

Today in class we were discussing Munch’s  teh scream…the painting is a personal fav….for teh follwing reasons….

1. i love the colour theme…the shades he’s chosen somwhow manages to provide an eerie feeling to teh whole picture

2.teh wavy strokes are absolutely fab cos tehy seem to signify how teh world goes all woozy and beings to spin when one is really terrified..

3. the main subject of teh painting does not have a characterisitc face or body shape and this intensifies teh effect of fear, as well as focouses teh entire attenetion of teh viewer to the fact that the subject is scared/horrified/appalled/shocked etc etc.

4.the painting remeinds me of a certain teacher i have who would give good mr.Dali a run for his money because when she screams its a much more horrifc effect and yess..she does scream often..

5. the setting of teh subject agianst eth backdrop of a pier/dock/etc freaks the life outta me because i’m so very scared of heights…..and this painting for some reason brings to mind my claustrophobic panic….

okie..ppl i got to rush back tothe convent her i live PG cos otehrwise sister L is going to start workin her rosary….sorry mr.salvador dali…sister L will lock me out n let the dog lose n tehn i’ll scream…..
